Tonight, we had a last-minute Super Bowl party at our house which ended up being a lot more fun than I thought it would be. We had about 20 people show up and it was great - loud, crowded, kids running around screaming, people yelling at the TV, lots of beer, wine and champagne flowing, a good game…everything a good Super Bowl party should be.
Oh, and the food. There was a ton of food: chili, pulled chicken, Swedish meatballs, mini-Cuban sandwiches, pigs in a blanket, raw veggies, cheese, two different types of guacamole, 7 layer dip, salt and vinegar chips (my and Quinn’s favorites), carrot cake, girl scout cookies. Even our neighbors who couldn’t make it stopped by with homemade chocolate covered pretzels and peanuts. All of it, so good.
But, my favorite? Deviled eggs. I decided to make them at the last minute and they were a hit. As a matter of fact, I only managed to snap 2 photos of the entire night between catching up with friends, stuffing my face and watching the game: one of Quinn and Mia snuggling on the couch watching a movie on someone’s phone (apparently, they are not big football fans) and one of my deviled eggs.
We had so much fun - especially Quinn. She loves throwing a good party with friends just as much as we do. And she likes deviled eggs, too. My girl.
