a simple story of two sisters, two parents, their family and friends as they navigate the everyday adventures of life in the city of brotherly love. we play, laugh, work, dance, run, read, and take a lot of photos. a lot of photos. the parents like to sleep. the girls - not so much.
This summer weekend included: a best friend’s (Evie’s) 3rd birthday party with lots of buddies from school, hanging out with another best friend (Mia) at her house, swimming in her kiddie pool, roasting marshmallows, making s’mores and catching fireflies, and packing up old stuff to make room for a new family member.
We got a lot done with the nursery this weekend, thanks to my husband who likes to keep me from stressing and our good friends Emi and John who were more than happy to come over and help Jeremy move furniture to our basement (thanks guys!).
Quinn had a blast helping sort through her old books to put in Baby Sister’s room. And she loved going through all her old baby toys. At one point, I found her rocking a baby doll in the glider, singing her to sleep. Practicing, I suppose.
And our Saturday with friends ended up a joyous note. About 4 hours after that belly photo with taken with Mia’s mommy Lori, her water broke. And little Seth Henry was born the following afternoon. We’re so happy for our friends and can’t wait to meet Mia’s new baby brother.
