I can’t wait to read this to Quinn. I know she’s still a little too young for this book, but it may be going on her birthday gift list anyway…
Mommy had a little fun on amazon last week buying gifts for Quinn.
I finally gave in and purchased the ultimate “must have” baby item. Sophie the Giraffe.

It seems like any baby who’s any baby has this glorified dog toy hanging out of his/her mouth. And since Quinn gives Fonzi a run for his money in the “cool” department, I figured she needed to get in on this baby trend.
But mainly, she is just drooling like crazy and I figured its only a matter of time before she needs to shove stuff in her mouth. The fact that this toy is made of natural rubber and BPA free is also a plus. It also came highly recommended from my new moms group when I looked down at one point during Monday’s meeting and literally saw FOUR babies gnawing on a Sophie all at the same time.
I also purchased a Haba Kringelring.

It’s another teething ring/rattle toy that is good for grasping as well as gumming. It’s also non-toxic and made of beech wood.
Finally, I got the Nursery Rhyme Jazz (Baby Loves Jazz) book/cd.

I’m really excited about this one because I quickly realized after I gave birth to Q that I know no nursery rhymes. I mean, I know the tunes, but not the lyrics. I’m hoping this fun version of classic nursery rhymes with a jazz twist will help me relearn them without being totally annoyed by them.
Come on UPS man. Bring us our loot!
(I think I am more excited than Quinny).
